URETEK USA's Stitch-In-Time™ technology restores load transfer to jointed, cracked, spalled or otherwise damaged concrete highways, roads, taxiways and runways. URETEK's Stitch-In-Time™ System uses a series of half-inch wide saw-cut slots to position a ¼ inch thick composite insert. The slots and inserts are filled with sand and bonded into place with a hybrid high-density polymer. Rapid curing characteristics allow almost immediate vehicular or aircraft traffic restoration.
The Stitch-In-Time™ System for joint load transfer and concrete damage repair is faster and superior to existing dowel-bar retrofit technology. URETEK USA sales representatives and engineers are available nationwide to answer questions about this dramatic step forward in Concrete Pavement Restoration (CPR) technology.
Key Time Benefits:
- Improved pavement performance due to stronger, more rigid joints than with traditional steel tie bar repair.
- Added benefit of filling below pavement voids and joints with resin further improves ride quality across the joint.
- Laboratory tests suggest that URETEK's joint repair system may repair joints better and be more economical than traditional steel tie bar repairs.
Additional Stitch-In-Time™ benefits:
- Tie new, pre-cast concrete panels to existing concrete pavement
- Convert asphalt roads into concrete (using the old roadway as base and setting pre-cast panels for the new surface)
Capabilities:
This process is for restoring load transfer to jointed, cracked, spalled or otherwise damaged concrete highways, roads, taxiways and runways. This system is far superior to the "steel dowel-bar retrofitting"; currently in use, in terms of cost, performance, and time.
Stitch-In-Time™ can also, be used to:
- Tie pre-cast concrete repairs to existing concrete pavement
- Convert asphalt roads into concrete (using the old roadway as base and setting pre-cast panels for the new surface)
- Tie pre-cast bridge deck sections together.
